a/c condensor fan question 200

I got my daughters 92 244 back from the body shop after she plowed into the back of a pt cruiser. The knuckleheads at the shop put the a/c condensor fan on with one bolt and some zip ties! Long story, but after seeing that piece of handy work, I got the sled out of there in a hurry. Even though the fan was "rigged" up that way it seemed to turn freely and I figuered I had a little time before I had to dive in to repair. Anyway, when I was driving the car the other day with the a/c on, the temp. went up almost to the orange area. I've never had an overheating problem with the car (usually just below the half way point) even on the hottest days in Florida. Two questions: Is it possible that they reversed the power on the lead wires so that the fan is pulling hot air from the engine compartment vs. pushing cool air from the outside? Does anyone have a diagram of how the fan is supposed to be mounted in front of the condensor? I have the two mounting brackets but haven't yet really looked at the assembly. Any help is greatly appreciated

Thanks, Eric
