i just bought a '90 240 wagon. very excited - even though the radio, lighter, and nothing on the tailgate work. the wearherstripping around the tailgate is loose and there is a bit of rust inside on the lock/latch. the right side rear cargo window might be leaking too.

does anyone know of a place to get the weatherstripping - other than a dealer(they're so expensive - $130 - 170 each)?

does anyone know a wat to fix this without buying new weatherstripping?

i had this problem in my "83 wagon too but don't remember exactly what i did other than disconnecting the tailgate wires. i figure i have to replace the wiring harnes cuz, i would like to have a tailgate with working wiper, lock, and a working radio and lighter that don't blow a fuse every 5 minutes lighter. has anyone done this, and do they remember the steps?
