I KNOW ABOUT SYNTHETIC OIL, BUT BUDGET WISE IS MOBIL DELVAC 1300 SUPER 15W-40 GOOD FOR MY 1990 760??? 700

Hey guys!

Does anyone know if Mobil Delvac super 1300 in 15W-40 weight (diesel oil) is good for my 1990 760 GLE gas engine (160,000 MILES)? I mean how good is this oil? I am particularly interested in the cleaning properties. I know all about synthetic oil (Amsoil), and use it in my other vehicles, but this one leaks slightly from the valve cover gaskets. Also how much engine drag are we talking, with regards to this weight? I s Shell Rotella 15W-40 better or what? My engine runs very smooth and robust, I just opt for a good mineral oil, that i plan on changing more often, until i fix the leaks and switch over to synthetic. What say you? THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!
