B18 B20 B21 interchange, NEED NEW ENGINE? 120-130 1968

Hey everybody..I'm new to the brickboard, just bought this '68 122. I've been pleased with the driving experience, but the engine has a really bad knock to it. It seems to go away when I press down on the #3 valve while it it running with the valve cover off. I have gotten several opinions, from a camshaft to a rod knock. Anyone have any other ideas?

I'm thinking I will need a rebuild...or a new engine. If I go with a replacement engine, I'd like to get a B20, which I'm pretty sure will drop right in, or perhaps a B21, though I don't know if that will drop right in. I have a manual transmission and dual SU carbs. Anyone have any experience with this? Anyone have any engines for sale?

Thanks in advance for your help! Oh yes, I am located in Maryland, near Washington, D.C.
