Swaybar Questions 200

The guy who bought my '82 245DL blew the head gasket after 6 months and wants to give me the car back. My landlord will have a chicken if I bring another car home, so I plan to give the car away to my mechanic. I installed IPD bars on the car and want to take them off and use them on my '81 242t. My questions are these, are all swaybars for early 240s created equal, in other words, will they fit? Secondly, is it safe to drive a brick with no bars? I only need to drive the car about 3 blocks.

Thanks,
