On my daughter's 86 we removed the valve cover and the rear cam cap (2 nuts). Then we put in the new seal, put the cam cap back on, and replaced the valve cover. It was really easy. The old seal was already out, left on the road somewhere nearby. Crankcase pressure was fine. We never did know why the old seal fell out in the first place. We also installed one of those covers on the back of the head that IPD sells to prevent the new seal from coming out. Good luck.
