Update: Car will run with AMM unpluged- not a mixture control problem? 200 1983

This is an update to a couple previous posts I have made.
I just got my 83 240 to run and drive (poorly) with the AMM unpluged I guess in the Limp-home mode. Does this mean that my AMM is bad? I have tried all possible mixture settings. With the AMM pluged in it will idle for a few seconds fine, then die. When it quits the fuel pump relay clicks rapidly or buzzes, one time the fuel pumps continued to run after it quit until I turned the key off.

Has anyone experienced this before, I could not find any other posts that sounded like this.
Thank you
