power antennae almost fixed.

It's not hard to get the motor open- one nut in the center of the case with some loctite on it I beleive. The case is just a shell around the drive nut that gives the antenna plastic mast a place to curl up. You would find out immediately if there's a piece stuck in there. Should be pretty straightforward to open it up and see. You don't take apart the motor per se, just the winder gear housing.
It usually takes a few tries to get it to go in all the way. That's why the motor runs a few seconds longer at each end of the travel.
