Idler arm... 140-160 1968

If you mean the steering box arm or link, that would require replacement of the steering box. Not fun or cheap unless you have a parts car.
If its in the idler arm, which is what it sounds like you mean... I put 3 of these bushings in my 75 164 while we owned it... they seemed to wear out on a regular basis. The play HAS to be in that bushing. Perhaps a washer is missing or soemthing like that so the bolt bottomed out before it tightened? All I can suggest is if it was just done, take it back and have them check it out.
