6'x9's in a Volvo? 700 1985

Hello,

I'm working on the stereo system of my '85 740ti. I got some Pioneer six by nines from a friend that I want to go in the rear deck.

What I'm thinking about doing is cutting the hole wider where the magnet of the stock five and a quarters hung and mounting the speakers there, on the lower deck that leads directly into the trunk. With speakers this big, that seems to be the only option. That way, I can use the original covers--but with only one screw, as far as I can tell.

Does anybody else here have big speakers? Anybody know the best way to do this? Is there a way to get both screwy thingies into the covers?

Thanks

Volfro
