cold slugishness / funny hot start 200

My '84 240 starts fine when cold & has a smooth idle. However, until the engine is warmed the engine bucks on acceleration. Also, when starting hot it is kinda strange... the engine turns almost immediately after the key is turned. If I don't turn the key back quickly the engine dies. This is hard for me to describe (I know I'm complaining about the engine strating too fast)but something is definitely amiss. Any ideas here?? So far I've tried: different AMM, compression checked ok, different O2 sensor, cleaned throttle body, general tuneup (plugs, cap, rotor, air filter, fuel filter). I wanted to adjust the idle air mixture as per mpvvolvo.com but couldn't find instructions for the LH2.0 system (or the pigtails mentioned in the LH2.1/2.2 instructions).
