With all that, you might pull the engine. The glue jobs indicate the PO wanted to unload the car in a hurry to an unfortunate buyer (you) who would in turn get stuck with the repair.

The exhaust stud, if broken off flush or below, will be a bear to get out even with the engine out of the car. Better to pull the head and send it out. If you can get it out and the PO enlarged the hole a lot, then get an oversize stud and drill and tap it.
