Compression testing B230FT 700 1988

Erwin - In May of '97 we had compression tested on our '90 Turbo sedan as part of pre-purchase check, at the time it had 158,000 miles.
Readings were 145,130,143,and 160. The technician noted - Compression is variable, may be indication of a head gasket, impossible to accurately tell from these readings - overall sense of this car is good, just needs TLC.

In Jan of '01 had compression checked as part of 30,000 mile service (less labor charge)at the time it had 206,000 miles.
Readings were 120, 120, 120, and 150.

The car still starts and runs great, It is still the preferred car in our fleet, we all like it because it is peppy, looks good, and is fun to drive, a happy car!

BTW at 150k it had piston slap, and at 230k it sounds the same to me!

The point, don't worry, be happy.
