Exhaust rattle

I've had an exhaust rattle on a 91 740 that has been driving me nuts. Today I'm putting on a whole new exhaust system and have finally tracked down that dang rattle. There are three 15mm nuts holding the exhaust header pipe to the exhaust manifold in a difficult to reach (especially on a creeper) location ( what else is new). Two were loose and I've leaned on them with all I have to tighten them. My guess is they'll be loose again shortly. There isn't enough thread showing to install a lock washer and get the nut back on and I'm pretty sure Loc-Tite isn't rated for exhaust header temps. Any ideas much appreciated!
