interchangabilty of two line brake systems.??? 120-130

I'm just curious - what about the system is 'useless?' Reason I ask is that most of the Volvos I've owned have/had a single system and only a few of them have the front/rear split setups. I've had a circuit failure in each kind - the single circuit failure was THRILLING in a most unpleasant way; the dual circuit failure was in the front circuit and I had no problem getting the car stopped. Interesting to note: I've also had a failure in a dual triangular circuit car - a '68 142 - this was the worst experience of the bunch and was one of two times I've ever put a car off the road.

I'd agree that a dual triangular system would be terrific, but I'd argue that a good condition and properly maintained oem setup is pretty darned good.

Anyway, your current dual master cylinder can be made to work with whatever setup you install. You will certainly need a second proportioning valve for the second circuit's line to the rear.

I assume you've already taken the other good advice on this and become familiar with the dual triangular setup as fitted to the 4 wheel disk cars, so I won't bore ya with that. I do think this is a whole bunch of expensive work that will result in little, if any, benefit.

Best,
