dead 242t: FOLLOWUP 200 1982

Finally got the 242t to start again. I reactivated the alarm(did not have any fuses in it since I have had the car) switched out a relay and then switched back to the original and also put back in the original hi beam stalk(long story from previous post) that I changed out the only other time I had a similar no start problem. None of these steps on it's own seemed to make any difference but then all of a sudden the car started up like it never had a problem. I have a feeling it has something to do with the alarm but I haven't got the alarm manual. On a side note, a neighbor told me that a car that he had that was equipped with an alarm required him to place the blinker stalk in the left blinker on position before he could start the car and his old girlfriend's car required something similar. I hate alarms.

Thanks for all the suggestions,

Dan
