new hubs, etc instead of wheel spacers? 900

hi all.

i've seen posts-a-plenty about wheel spacers from folks who would like to put the newer style wheels on their older 7xx and 9xx bricks.

i'd also like to be able to use those wheels, but wheel spacers don't appeal to me.

i wonder... would the different front suspension parts from a 940SE fit my 940 wagon? what would be involved?

it would solve at least one end of the problem...

i intend to use spacers on the rear until my (fantasy) big honkin' V8 breaks my 1041, then replace it with a custom unit that's the correct width.
