Auto to standard, how was yours done? ( I only know the Volvo I know) 120-130

OK, I'm taking a little survey on the auto to standard swap. Mainly dealing with the crossmember.

The PO welded 1/2" plate steel extensions on the old auto crossmember on to which is bolted a standard tranny crossmember. However it looks like the old crossmember is going to interfere with an M41 J-type which I am gearing up to install.

So I'm trying to be ready to deal with removing the PO's mod to allow installation of the OD and will obviously need somewhere to mount the M41. Planning on using the crossmember he used for the M40 but remember its current attachment will disappear with the old crossmember.

Anyway just curious as to how the crossmember location has been dealt with by others to allow OD in an originally auto 122.

I know I can't be the only one.

Thanks,

-Mario
