Engine Oil and Auto Trans Oil Temps? 700 1989

I have installed larger oil and trans coolers in my 89 745T, using Permacool thermostats in place of the sandwich style oil thermostat and the radiator cooler (that functions somewhat like a thermo in that it helps to both heat up and cool down the trans fluid). I also installed temp gauges that I did not have before, so I have no reference. And I have not verified them with a Raytek or similar infrared yet. My oil seems to stay down around 165 most of the time, and it takes a while to heat up when the car is first started. My trans fluid also takes a while to heat up, but it will go as high as around 180. I have not been driving the car hard yet, as I am breaking in the new engine and have only about 230 miles on it. Do these temps seem correct?

Thanks,

Philip Bradley
