Should I get my tail-gated 240 repaired?

Just a quick followup to my post:

I took it in to get looked at, and it was all cosmetic. My insurance company offered to total it out and paid me $2400 for it and then sold it back to me for $125 with a salvage title. So, since I only paid $1700 for this 1986 245DL, I'm coming out ahead of the game (especially since I wasn't hurt)! I will always drive a Volvo!!
