engine cleaning? 700

I use simple green. With a little brushing and maybe a couple applications it will cut some nasty goo.

Indeed the purple stuff is strong (-OH) and it will etch aluminum.

I also like some of the new strong orange cleaners, smell really good, but they are expensive. PB Blaster sells an a aerosol orange cleaner that is little known but works great.

I even like the Kroil degreaser.

I have used WD-40 for small gunk cleaning, because it's not good for much else.

Bottom line: there is no need for Gunk like products and that nasty smell.
