Ignition switch question??? 200 1980

Ok, after troubleshooting the no spark condition in my 1980 244, I've discovered something, I get spark as I release the key from the crank position.
Could I possibly be dealing with a bad ignition switch, even though it cranks the engine and in the on position all accessories work? This is the only time I see spark, for the second or so its cranking when I release from the crank position. Thanks ....
