Is my Brick dead?!? 700

On the way home from work the other day I notice what feels like a lack of compression or loss of power for some reason. I also start to notice a clicking sound. With in a day or two the car is undriveable. I threw some plugs in which made the car run much better, but within 20 miles the same symptoms, only worse! the car has no power and that nasty clicking sound. Also, it now seems to surge and sag at speed and when getting up to speed it will bog then pick up a little, then bog...

There is no water in the oil, so I assume the head gasket is fine, the plugs, wires, cap and rotor should be fine too.

Am I looking at an air mass meter, or fuel presure regulator? What concerns me is that nasty clicking sound, are my valves waisted?!?!?!
