Oil breather box - clean or replace? 200 1981

Finally got the breather box off yesterday, now I'm trying to determine how/if I should clean or replace the box. I was thinking that I would just shoot it with a lot of carb cleaner then follow with simple green and water, then let it dry for a day or so. Does that sound reasonable, or would I be better off replacing it totally? Found that PO had breather box off at some point in the past and it was replaced with the o-ring out of place, leading to much oil all over the place.

Thanks,
Jeff
