CD player S90-V90 1998

My stock Volvo CD player just refuses to work. I was playing a Santana CD for the last few days when low and behold when I started the car and ejected it to put in another the player wouldn't let me put another CD in. I can gently push it in but it won't suck it in. Then when I push it in the units ejects it after about 5 seconds. Has anybody had this happen before? Maybe it doesn't like Santana.
