Pardon me, but did you say that a 760 GLE was well built and easy to work on??? Excuse me if I misunderstood you, but I have a 1984 760 GLE and I have worked on many different vehicles, engines, engineered systems.etc, over the years and I have to say that if nothing else, that the engine ( V6 ) is a testimony to stupidity and complication!!! Accessibility? , let's be honest here. Look at the Volvo 2.8. I have never seen an engine that had more difficult to access plugs, injectors, and let alone that distributor ( let's not talk about the upper end oil distribution and other poorly designed aspects )! No offense, I love my ride, but the first chance I get, an American motor is going in it. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad that your "90 740 is U & R. Bricks to all!
