Flaky Starter or Wiring. 200 1989

Never have had starter problems, until today. The starter is attached to an '89 245 w/AT and just over 250K miles.

Drove it to the market and everything was fine. Tried to start the car to return home and had power to everything except it wouldn't turn over... not even a "click"...nothing. I thought it might be the safety switch (with an auto tranny) but with a little wire jiggling at the starter and I was able to get it started. So now it's home... I've tried it a few times and it continues to start right up.

I guess I'm looking for thoughts on what the culprit might be?

(It was raining today, but wet weather has NEVER been an issue for this car.)
