car wont start at all 200 1984

i took a look at how all the wires are hooked up by pulling off the centre bit just above the gear shift. ( i am in the process of seeing how freeking difficult installing a new stereo is) The car wont start at all. I turn the key and absolutely nothing happens? i think i may have knocked the ignition wires loose or something? how easy is this to fix?
(ps i did have the car in park so it isnt that)
