Hi

I've found an '88 740 GL with 88,000 miles. It is a manual (rare in Australia). I'm told that 88 is a good year for 240s except for the interference motor. It is in good condition, one owner with all services stamped in the log book, and notes made about repairs made.

Is there anything I should specially look for, as I'm only familiar with my old 164E and my current '80 244 (Carb). Which Fuel Injection system is in the 88/740?, and is it a reliable system. Had Volvo sorted out the Engine harness by '88?
