I think I know what you have! 700 1987

Well, I did check EEuroparts 1209820 and it appears to be the same as my old 245, I would guess that the bearing fits into a rubber recess and that open space has some lugs or recesses that were used to hold the small spring that centers or supports the bearing. The 245 I had used a metal cage that if memory serves me correctly bolted to the underbody. At any rate you have the wrong part, at least for typical USA 700 series. Get your money back!
