Removing Pinstriping 900

With the onset of the warmer weather, I wanted to cleanup the 95 940 I bought for my kid. The body is in good overall shape for 93K but could use a compounding and waxing. I wanted to remove the pinstriping but it does not seem to come off readily. Any suggestions for easy removal before I compound and wax?
