overdrive woes 700 1992

Good day bricksters.

My overdrive does not work sometimes.When i push on the button, i do here the clicking sound. Twice when i started the car the overdrive light was lit and i did not here the clicking sound. Where is the solenoid located? How can i check to see if it is faulty?I have an extra od relay from my 240. Is this the same as the one found on my 745t? If not i may need to pickup another one.
