No start/run fixed, took two wicked 40,000 volt shocks from ignition coil-beware!! 200 1983

This is an update to several previous posts to my no start, then poor run problem. My 83 240 died in the dead of Winter, and I was unable to get it to run. I ended up replacing a bad fuel pressure regulator, cracked vacuum hoses, a FUBARed wiring harness, fouled plugs, and Air Mass Meter. Car would run, but not for more than a few minutes. I didn't change the plug wires though, trying to save money. Big mistake. I was trying to adjust the timing, and it was all over then place. The car would also pick up a "charge" and I would get a static shock every time I touched it. I got a shock from the coil when adjusting the timing, then one after the car had shut down. BEWARE- the coil takes a few minutes to discharge after the car dies. 40,000 volts didn't kill me, but it sure got my attention. I have new wires in the mail, and will be rolling again in 3-4 days. Thank you to Dave Barton and Art Benstein for the parts and knowledge!
