Ok, for all you guys out there who may be interested, here's the latest on my '64 PV. After 3 months in the shop all of the body work is done and the interior and engine bay are painted. The fenders and dashboard are sitting here in the front room and I'm arranging to have the shell towed back over here next week. I've probably got about 2 months of reassembly in front of me before I drive the car back down to the shop to have the exterior repainted, which is fine since all of the bodywork has me flat busted for a while anyway. (It's back to Rainier beer and Top Ramen for dinner for a few months. GW ended up giving me a few bucks for my spare trunk lid when I was down in Portland last weekend, but that all got spent on food and beer the same afternoon.)
I had the driveshaft tunnel modified to accept an M41, so we'll see how that goes. It should be interesting handling all of the additional modifications to make that work, but I'm looking forward to hitting that OD switch on the highway. I'll see if I can get some photos scanned in at some point. I'll keep y'all posted...
