Power Boost Tips? 700

Trade it in for an S60R.

But seriously folks, I'm here all week...

No, really: I've looked into this myself and while I don't have the $ to act on any of my plans, it seems like to make your non-turbo 740 drive more like a sports car, you can:

-Replace the stock camshaft. Consensus is that the Unitek/Enem Phase 1 provides the best balance b/w increased power, emissions, and fuel economy. The increase is supposedly about 13hp. The VX available through IPD is another option, but I hear it robs low-end torque more than the Phase 1.

-Upgrade the exhaust to a larger diameter.

-Get a larger throttle body.

-Install a manual transmission if you don't have one already.

-Improve the handling with bigger wheels/lower-profile tires, IPD swaybars & poly bushings, and lowering springs.

If you're really insane you could swap the engine, exhaust, and all electronics with those from a turbo of the same year, but it'd be cheaper to just buy a turbo.

And then there's always the V8 swap option. There's a whole forum for that.

As I said, I've only looked into all this, so I'm sure that those who have actually done some of these things could give you better info, but this should point you in the right direction. Check out the Aftermarket forum for more info.
