Thanks so much for your prompt responses Randy! There was no smell or residue of gasoline on the vaccuum hose, although there was not a great vacuum pressure either. Should that be a strong pressure?
As I said, we know the gas is getting through there and up to the Fuel Injectors, because when we took off the FPR, gas came out of the line leading to the Fuel Injector, and out of the FPR as well.
There is no black smoke whatsoever, a slight backfire on occassion, and when we replaced the sparkplugs, although the gap was way off, they were very clean. My brother who works on Harleys, said that the color of the spark plugs (a rather nice tan/golden actually :), meant that the gas was burning well.
What do I use to clean the fuses?
The hose you are saying I should check is connected at one end to the throttle body and the other end is connected to the AMM? And what exactly does AMM stand for? Automatic ...... ??? Thanks again!
