Low hum coming from intake manifold 700 1992

I can hear a low hum coming from inside my air breather. I traced it out to the hoses that connect to a thing-a-magig under the intake manifold, from that a hose goes to the upper part of the intake manifold. It also sounds metalic, like its rubbing/grinding. Any clues please let me know.
