can't find info on timing B230f 200 1985

I have HAYNES, and old VOLVO shop manuals, and i cant find any info on timing the B230F engine . I can only find info on vac canister type distributrs. There has to be a proper way to set inetial timing , darned if i can find it. Is there a wire to jump or how would one stop the advance??? If any one understands what im asking please help. THANKS / The under hood stickers are painted over by PO. THANKS It's a 85 240DL
