Timing a B230 for Detailer 200 1985

Detailer:
The settings on the timi8ng light do not move the timing. YOU have to physically twist the distributor either left or right with a gloved hand (hot),until the flashing light dot strikes about 10-12 TDC on the timng cover.
Moving the settings on the light is something I have not used. I have an El Cheapo (made in Cheapistan) timing light without any fancy settings.
Use your Bentley manual.
buena suerte,
el Raidman
