Rear end ratio measurement procedure

I was curious to find out what my final drive ratio was on my 1990 745 16 valver. So I jacked up one rear wheel, marked a spot on the tire and on the drive shaft and started rotating the wheel. I counted 10 wheel rotations and about 18 3/4 shaft rotations. I figure with one wheel locked on the ground, the shaft is spinning the wheel twice as fast as in normal driving. So, that is 37.5:10 or 3.75:1. Close enough to the 3.73:1 that I suspected.

Am I correct? The hardest part was running 2 counts in my head at the same time! A multi-tasker I am not.
