Bump stops for new front struts? 200 1983

Hi all,

Received the Sachs advantage struts for our ongoing turbo project yesterday. In reading Bentley to prepare for the job, I noted that they show a bump stop on the strut of the NA cars. Now that I'm going from the stock Volvo/deCarbon struts, do I need to get a set of bump stops, or can I just install struts with the boots as before? (BTW, I've checked, the boots will fit).

Can't imagine that the springs could compress enough to warrant a bump stop, but then I've never worked on a turbo before . . . .

Thanks in advance for advice and suggestions--It's always appreciated.

Regards,

Steve A-
