Dashboard removal? 700 1989

I've got a 1989 740t, which I'm trying to do some mods to. I want to install an A/F gauge on the far right side driver's side vent, and need to remove the dash to get access to the fuse box to wire it up. HOw would I remove the main dash panel in the 740t? I am referring to the molding that covers center panel with the radio, and stretches back around the shifter, and goes along under the instrument panel. Please excuse my very terrible description, I am just unsure of how to safely remove this padding to get access to the fusebox inside. Thanks
