cooling fans 700 1989

The if you cross the two wires that plug into the sensor that is installed it the radiator the fan should come on. On my 87 it is on the airbox side of the radiator. Over the years many of these fans rusted and stopped working. It comes on only when either the wires that plug into the sensor are touched together or the sensor closes the circuit due to higher than normal operating tempature. Probably 95% of these fans died by the age of 10 years.
