clunk from front end when braking 700 1990

I did my brakes (new upgraded 11.25" ATE Powerdisc rotors as well as new pads and new caliper mounting brackets) this Saturday and today (Sunday) I noticed an annoying clunk that comes when braking.

The situation is hard to describe but here it is:

If I go forward, if it is the first time ever braking while the car is in forward motion, there is a clunk sound. It ONLY happens the first time, as if something is settling in place, and once it happens that first time, it never happens again.

THEN, I put it in reverse and back up a bit. When I brake, there is a clunk again, and it never clunks again while I'm in reverse.

If I got forward again, it clunks the first time, and never again.

And so on, and so forth.

I'm going to tackle this tomorrow after I get home from work (going to leave an hour early to catch the daylight) but before I go chasing down this problem (appears to be coming from the front passenger side, but I'm not sure), does anyone have any suggestions what this may be? I just don't want to jack up the car and remove the wheel after work only to find out that I can not isolate the problem and fix it.

Also, the braking does not need to be hard, which seems to indicate that it is not really a suspension problem. I don't need to rock the car or anything, only engage the brakes, so I'm guessing it's brake related. ALTHOUGH, I did have anti-sway bar endlinks replaced on Sat. as well.

Thanks!
