Brake squeel, How do I avoid it? 200 1986

Hi Michael:
I have never used the teflon shims, so I can't answer that question. I always have just used the stainless steel shims. I have applied the antisqueal grease to the back of the shim/pad in the area that is covered by the brake piston and along the edges of the pad where the pad contacts the caliper. Make sure you clean out all the brake dust from the surfaces where the pads mount up on the calipers.

Hope this helps.
