Voltage fluctuation 200 1987

Hello all,

More of an annoyance than an actual issue, but I fear it is the sign of something more sinister.

My 245's electrical system seems to be fluctuating. The voltmeter jiggles between from what seems to be 12 volts on up to 14 volts on half second intervals. Everyting is in unison with this fluctuation. Lights, blower motor, and even the car itself surges in lower gears along with the electical system.

My alternator is a 9 month old aftermarket. Most of the tune up items are less than a year old as well safe for the plug wires. Could the wires be grounding out and causing a momentary short??? This is what it seems like. Or is my alternator defective??? I have poked at the wires on it and they seem ok.

Where should I start here???
