BW35 neutral start switch- Bypass? 140-160 1970

I think the neutral start switch is going on my 144. Can this be bypassed?
I had some trouble starting the car partly due to a faulty starter solenoid that wasn't enaging the pinion properly, but now with the new starter, power only gets to the starter sometimes. The neutral start relay is fine, and as far as i know my ingition switch is fine. I've tried adjusting the neutral start switch, but to no avail. Thoughts? Thanks, Brad M.
