Ignition coil resistance 200 1987

i see a lot of posts on this forum regarding coils. i have been working on volvos since 1977 and can count on one hand the number of coils i replaced in all those years. they can go bad or actually physically be damaged or broken, but for the most part they are a simple electromagnet with no moving parts and unless they were manufacured with a defective wiring internal they shouldnt cause any problems. usually if your chasing a problem. youll find out later that the coil did not cause the problem.
