Weird Electrical Problem ... 120-130 1966

I had a "real" Delco rebuilt alt in the 122 (and will again once the motor goes back in) and it was fine. I've got a 55 amp Bosch in the 1800 and that's fine too.

I'd go with Ron and say you've got two badly rebuilt alts that both have bad diode packs (set up as a bridge rectifier, if I recall correctly). If the discharge path is through the alt, I really don't see what else it could be.
