Steering Rack Trouble 900 1997

Hi All,

I recently replaced the struts and suspension components on my 97 960 Wagon. I then got everything aligned. About 3 weeks after the alignment I had a clunk in the right front side of the car when going over bumpy roads. The clunk has gotten progressively worse. I got under the car and pushed the rack up and down and sure enough it had some play in it. My assumption is that the rack will need to be replaced. Is there any other solution/repair? If it needs to be replaced any tips beyond what is in the 700/900 FAQ?
